It's floppy!

For the first time in my blogging career, I'm thrilled to announce that I've been asked to guest-post. (I know, some of you guys do it every other week, but this is virgin territory for me).

The invite has come from a giant of the blogging world, non other than Starr Bryson at The Insomniacs Dream. The multi-talented Starr is wonderfully versatile and can write on any topic from humor to erotica to serious stuff; she can inform, arouse, offend or tickle, depending upon which mood she is in. So pop over there and read her stuff on http://www.theinsomniacsdream.com/ You will not be disappointed.

My guest post recounts a tale from when I worked as a sex therapist - now that surprised you, didn't it - many years ago in the pre-Viagra days. Please pop over (via the link below) and give it some attention and comment. Otherwise, Starr will not be happy and, quite frankly, I'm scared of her!

  1. Such nice things you say about me!

And I giggled at "pop over". Haha, I'm 12.

  2. It was a good story, I laughed, I cried (not really, but I felt sad.) It was better than Cats.

    1. That's a heady mix of emotions, Joy. Thanks for reading.

  3. I have now sent a message to any woman that I am with to remove the word floppy from their vocabulary.

Plus, I dig crazy chicks. Hi Starr!

  6. I'm surprised his wife knew the word "floppy". It was such a perfect use of idiomatic English.

    1. That's a very kind offer Daniel. I'll have to see if I can come up with something worthy of your blog!

  8. You follow "It's Floppy" with a sentence that declares this is "virgin territory." Well played.

  10. So you're really not Bryan Jones? :) I enjoyed your guest post. I'm sure she'll invite you back.

By the way, I always enjoy your visits to my blog. Typically, I reply to everyone who comments on my posts who has their email address in their profile which shows in my email in box with the comment. Because yours comes up with "no-reply blogger," I can't reply.

I don't reply on the post because I don't want to influence anyone who following with a comment.

Just an FYI in case you ever wondered. You're great at responding.

    1. Thanks Anita for your interest and feedback.

Techi things are not my strong point so the 'no-reply blogger' message was not intended. I'll have another look when I visit your blog.

    2. Let me see if I can explain this briefly, as I tend to be wordy :)

      Go to your blogger profile.
      Click on edit profile.
Under "Identify" you'll see "email address"
Type in your email address (It can be the same as your "username" email or it can be a secondary email address if you want to separate your blog correspondence from your main email address.)

Scroll to the bottom and click "Save Profile."

Now if you look at your profile screen, you will see "email" under "contact me." This is also the way that you can tell if others using Bloggers are a "no reply comment blogger" or not; by looking for the same on their profile.

If you decide to make this change, when you comment on someone's blog post, the comment will be in their email inbox with your email address. That way, if the blogger wants to respond to you, he/she will click "reply" and you will get it in your in box as a typical email note.

Otherwise, the only choice for a response is to come back to your post as I am doing now.

By the way, some bloggers choose "not" to have this setup.

      Hope this makes sense. :)

  11. Cheers Anita for explaining this in such detail. I'll give it some further thought. I do have some reservations about increasing the number of e-mails I receive each day.
    Thanks

    1. You're welcome.

And yes... it is something to think about. I held off adding my email for a long time because I thought it would be strange to get personal notes from "strangers." But, the "strangers" have become "friends" and the back and forth email responses are typically short and sweet. A little more email, yes.

No reply necessary. :) EnJoy your day.

  12. No way, this is your first time! What are people stupid, I would have you on my blog every day if I could...you would probably bring in more readers than I do.

  13. I doubt that very much, Michael, but I appreciate your ongoing support.
